GPS signals phase fluctuations caused by atmospheric integral water vapor mesoscale variability

Variations of atmospheric parameters creates irregularities, which effect on the electromagnetic waves refraction, scattering and absorption in the atmosphere. The network of ground-based spatially separated GPS-GLONASS receivers, which allows the remote sensing zenith tropospheric delay one per second. The network of weather stations measure meteorological parameters at the same points synchronously and allows determining the integrated humidity spatial and temporal variations. It has been found that the contribution of irregularities with scales to 24 hours in the zenith tropospheric delay fluctuations dispersion varies, depending on the surface weather parameters (temperature and pressure). The correlation coefficient between zenith tropospheric delay time structure function the approximation exponent and surface temperature reaches a value of 0.77 for the fluctuations with time scales up to 8 hours. According to the results it can be assumed strong influence of synoptic processes and underlying surface on the formation of mesoscale fluctuations in the phase path of satellite navigation systems radiosignals.
