Field measurements of the wind profile using millimeter Doppler radar

The results of field measurements of wind profile by millimeter range Doppler radar are presented. It has been shown that up to a height of 300 m the radar signal can be recorded in 80% of cases, including in clear-sky conditions. The peculiarities of the structure of the Doppler spectra generated by “clear air” inhomogeneities in different seasons are discussed. The results of the joint use of radar and radiometer for determining the total water content of clouds and the water content profile are presented.
