Analysis of gas/solid two-phase flow imaging system based on ECT technology

Electrical imaging technology is a new detecting method developed in the electromagnetic field theory. Aiming at the problems of accuracy and speed limits of flow pattern identification in gas/solid two-phase flow detection, a 16 electrode electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) system based on Xilinx Spartan-3E series FPGA chip is designed. This system is used to implement high-speed data transmission by DDR2 storage technology and USB bus technology, and adopt the digital quadrature demodulation to replace the analog demodulation, which can improve the real-time performance of the system effectively. The simulation results show that the system has stable performance, fast processing speed and high sampling precision. It has a certain reference value in practical industrial application.
