Position and current controller design for an electromagnetic levitation platform

This paper presents the design of position and current controllers for an electromagnetic levitation platform. The system will be linearized and modelled. A PID controller for the position (gap levitation and roll) and a PI controller for the current will be designed. Simulation results will be presented for the following input signals: a step reference and a sinusoidal reference. Some experimental results will also be presented.
