A novel dual-band reflectarray antenna for X and K bands

A novel dual-band (X/K-band) reflectarray antenna with a single layer substrate and double-faced patches is presented in this paper. The structure not only avoids the probable physical intersection of the two bands patches for traditional single layer but also has simple and inexpensive advantages relative to complicated and expensive dual-layer structure. The feasibility of the proposed configuration is validated via the simulation results of a prototype.
