Properties of meteor burst channel and power controlled probe

A data collection system is one of the most suitable applications of meteor burst communications (MBC). In 1997, we proposed a new efficient scheme named the power controlled probe for such systems. In this paper, a mathematical channel model necessary to analyze the system is established based on some experimental data.
