UHI boot protocol implementation in Android emulator for MIPS architecture

This paper gives an overview of the UHI boot protocol support implemented for the MIPS Ranchu virtual board used by Android emulator. This protocol is not supported by all boards and kernel versions, but provision is made for supporting boards which use a legacy boot protocol. The paper describes the solution implemented on both emulator and kernel side.
