Physical simulation of electromagnetic phenomena in transformer equipment under strongly varying loads

The article deals with the proposed procedure of physical simulation of non-stationary processes in power transformers intended for supplying the power-intensive arc steel-melting furnaces with strongly varying behavior of the load. This paper demonstrates that non-stationary processes are good reason to research using the scale models based on defining similitude numbers in combination with testing conditions equivalence methods. We represent the findings of experimental researches and physical simulation that confirm efficiency to use the proposed approach while developing the optimal constructive solution for special-purpose transformer equipment.
