Database-based dynamic spectrum sharing with service adaptation using OMNeT++ simulator

In this paper, we consider a centralized dynamic spectrum sharing system, in which dynamic spectrum allocation is accomplished in spectrum database. We consider a more realistic scenario, in which different users can access the same channel simultaneously within limited interference. Due to the users submitting the service requirements in a sequential manner, the current channel allocation result will influence the future users. In order to solve this challenge, we propose a soft decision policy based dynamic spectrum allocation algorithm. Simulations results using the OMNeT++ simulator are provided, showing that the soft decision policy based dynamic spectrum allocation algorithm is better than the best respond algorithm in terms of satisfaction and packet loss rate.
