Uplink BER measurement of MIMO full-duplex system using end-fire arranged arrays

The eigen-beamforming with the end-fire arrangement has been proposed as an interference suppression method suitable for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) full-duplex. We clarify the effectiveness of this scheme by experimentally evaluating the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of the uplink desired signal from the mobile terminal while the self-interference in the base station is suppressed. The results showed that the proposed method suppressed interference power by 23.8 dB and achieved BER of 10

even though the desired signal power was 15 dB lower than that of the scenario without the self-interference suppression.
