Study on the speed-sensation at the situation of high-speed train driving

This paper describes the relationship between speed sensation and motion parallax (the effect on speed sensation of what is seen when one is moving at high speed). It is found that people have a much lower speed sensation when their forward field of view is narrow. It can be described by motion parallax. This study is expected to be of value in the design of train cabins.
