Sensorless vector control and selection of observer gain for speed control of indirect vector control induction motor drives

This paper represents two methods of speed estimation by using indirect vector control of three phase induction motor drives. One of the methods is called model reference adaptive system which is compared with the reference adaptive model. The second method is Luenberger full order observer which calculates all the states of induction motor in the system. The proposed observer gain selection eliminates the speed dependent variables and decreases the relevant error. It also satisfies the Lyapunov criteria and thus assures the stability condition of motor.
