Formation of object tracking in reflector antenna systems with help of passive scatterers

A new principle of building of moving target high-precision tracking systems is developed. This new method allows one to create object tracking systems by using passive scatterers installed in aperture antennas. Traditionally radiator of a reflector antenna forms the direction-finding characteristic with help of the controlled elements. These elements are a part of the radiator feeding circuit. Reflector antenna scans in some narrow sector of angles and this scanning produces error signal required for reflector antenna precise orientation. Partial beams with angular displacement in space are used in a traditional algorithm. Developed algorithm differs from a traditional one. It is based on application of passive scatterers placed on a reflector surface. They are not galvanically connected with the feeding device. Proposed approach is based on an aperture orthogonal polynomials method.
