Modelling and simulation of the South African designed Sun Chaser II solar vehicle

This paper discusses a performance comparison between the simulation of an analytical model and the real world behaviour of Sun Chaser II, a solar powered vehicle designed by TUT to compete in the Sasol Solar Challenge 2016. A very good correlation is seen in the performance comparison leading to a discussion on the further improvement of the model. This paper also describes a simple energy management strategy to enhance the performance of a solar powered vehicle.
