CVNA calibration method for electrically small loop antennas from 9 kHz to 30 MHz

The well-established calibration techniques for loop antennas either require the knowledge of some parts of the antenna design or the field pattern of a standard field generator must be well known or fully theoretically describable. The so called Contactless Vector Network analysis (CVNA) method is a new and traceable approach, circumventing these requirements. This paper is about the further development of the method which now allows to determine the antenna factor of electrically small loop antennas throughout the frequency range, i.e. 9 kHz up to 30 MHz.
