Ethernet time-transfer based on low frequency white rabbit solution

White Rabbit (WR) [1] has become a feasible technology to develop advanced synchronization applications as wireless links. As a previous step to implement this application, the standard bandwidth has to be decreased. Due to the linear relation between bandwidth and frequency carrier in the WR architecture, we have modified an operational WR node to operate with a reference frequency of 12.5 MHz. In this paper we address the development of a low frequency carrier solution compatible with WR that allows the generation of Ethernet links with a low reference frequency and bandwidth capability on the White Rabbit Zynq Embedded Node (WRZEN).
