Space vector PWM control of BLDC motor

A brushless dc motor is characterized by high efficiency with good life time. For a motor to have high performance, it requires accurate speed and to recover quickly from any disturbances, sensitive to motor parameter variations. Different speed controllers are widely used to operate the motor with proper reference speed. In this present work, the speed and position of BLDC motor are controlled using current control technique. In this current control technique, the error signals of currents obtained are fed to the rotor reference frame transformation (abc-dq) which derives the d-q currents. The d-q voltages obtained from d-q currents are fed to space vector pulse width modulator which controls the speed and position of BLDC motor. This technique plays an important role, in the hardware implementation of speed and position control of BLDC motor. In various industries and defense sectors, this is named as an actuator which is a combination of motor and mechanical gears that help in controlling the system to attain accurate speed and position. This paper "Space Vector PWM Control of BLDC Motor" is simulated using MATLAB /SIMULINK. The experimental setup of this project can be realized using SPARTAN - 6 FPGA.
