A Light Optical Current Transducer Based on Magneto Optical Isolator

Optical isolators and optical current transducers are both based on Faraday magneto-optical effect. This paper study the feasibility of modifying optical isolators for a modified new type of electrical current measurement. The modification method is introduced at first, then the parameters measurement and calculation method are discussed. Preliminary experimental tests have been carried out to test the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
