Laser triangulation 2D scanner signal processing for premium thread pitch measurement

An experimental setup was assembled for measuring of the premium tubing coupling thread pitch. The experiment to test the law of distribution measurements of 2D laser scanner premium thread pitch of was held. The image with CMOS matrix scanner was captured and the noise nature was analyzed. The method based on the gradient mask was used to enhance the cents masses selection method. According to the experimental results, algorithms for improving the precision characteristics of the laser sensors were developed. The possibility of meeting the regulatory requirements set to the measurement accuracy of premium tubing coupling by means of the 2D laser scanner was confirmed experimentally.
