Miniaturization of small resonant aperture using a modified ridge structure and its application to FSS design

A miniaturization of the small resonant aperture is presented in this paper. For this purpose, we modified the structure of the resonant aperture. The resonance characteristic of the modified apertures were investigated through that the resonant frequency was decreased. And we applied the modified aperture to the miniaturization of FSS unit cell.
