Predictive method for analyzing OAM at radio frequencies

This paper focuses on analyzing orbital angular momentum in radio frequency systems by studying Laguerre-Gaussian beams. A MATLAB toolkit for optics has been utilized to provide a predictive framework for generating and multiplexing signals that experience orbital angular momentum at 73 GHz. A horn antenna and spiral phase plates are used to verify MATLAB results. Comparing the two methods in terms of intensity and phase plots shows reasonable agreement. This technique will be useful in estimating results for radio frequency (RF) communication demonstrations using orbital angular momentum.
