Voltage control of fixed speed SEIG and variable load with Z-source Inverter

This paper presents a voltage control method for a squirrel cage induction generator supplying an isolated site with Z - source inverter (ZSI). Such conversion system using Z - inverter generates the reference voltage efficiently to avoid a sag voltage at generator terminals when the active power demand increase. A controlled voltage source (VSC) is performed by using a ZSI which adjusts voltage by varying the duty ratio of the simple boost control Theoretical analysis and MATLAB simulations have been performed to describe and validate the control method.
