Adaptive denoising in telecommunications

In 1992 David Donoho has introduced the term denoising in connection with the adaptive nonlinear filtering in the discrete wavelets transform domain. Despite it's advantages this method has not been extensively used yet in the telecommunications field. The aim of this paper is to clarify some aspects of this method from the engineer's point of view, to improve it and to apply it in telecommunications.
