A novel circularly polarized microstrip antenna with a circular slot

A novel circularly polarized microstrip slot antenna is designed in this paper. The circularly polarized radiation is generated by the use of annular grooved tandem coupling on the ground plane. The feeder network consists of a microstrip line and a cross-shaped patche. According to the simulation results of HFSS software, the relative bandwidth reaches 4.8%. The proposed antenna has the characteristics of simple structure, miniaturization and excellent performance.
