Control strategy for inverter parallel and parallel with synchronous generator based on virtual synchronous generator theory

With the development of electrical control technology and the need of environmental protection, the marine shaft generating system based on PWM technology is developed and used. In shaft generator system, inverters parallel and parallel of inverter and diesel generator are key problems. Therefore, the paper proposes a control strategy based on virtual synchronous generator theory that simulates the large inertia and the output impedance characteristics of the synchronous generator to solve these problems. In this paper, the mathematical model of the inverter and the overall control block diagram of the inverter are introduced and the control model of the virtual synchronous generator is analyzed. The Simulation using Matlab and real-time simulation system of the parallel operation of inverters and parallel operation of inverter and diesel generator are carried out. The simulation results show that the control strategy is feasible.
