Temperature driven changes of electronic structure through the phase transition in magnetocaloric compound Mn1.1Fe0.9P0.6As0.4

Magnetic refrigeration based on magnetocaloric effect (MCE) has emerged as a serious alternative to conventional refrigeration. The electronic structure studies were conducted in both theoretical and experimental directions. We paid particular attention to temperature-driven changes of the electronic structure of the Mn

_0.6

, the structure was determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The spectra collected for temperatures above and below the magnetic transition were determined with respect to the changes in the electronic structure including valence band and core levels.
