Dynamic error compensation and parameter optimization for RLG SINS in vibration environments

Due to the limited stiffness of the dither motor transverse axes, the laser block of the ring laser gyro (RLG) may tilt under the influence of acceleration, which will cause g-sensitive misalignments in vibration environments. This paper proposes a novel dynamic error compensation and parameter optimization method for RLG SINS in vibration environments. Optimized kinetics model of the RLG unit is developed, whereby dynamic error model containing the optimized parameters is deduced. The dynamic error model establishes the relationship between the equivalent gyro drift and specific force, as well as angular rate. By parameter sensitivity analysis, an optimized vibration scheme with attitude error observation is designed to estimate the unknown parameters. Vibration experiments are conducted to prove the validity of this method.
