Effect of radar absorbing material coating on natural poles of metal cylinder and plate

If radar targets can be achieved by extracting natural poles from scattered energy. These natural poles change by coating. In this paper, effect of ferrite coating (as a single layer radar absorbing material) on the natural poles of metal cylinder and plate and also multilayer absorber coating on the natural poles of metal plate is investigated. The natural poles are extracted by Cauchy method. Simulation results show that after applying the absorbing material, if surface creeping waves are not excited, quality factor of natural poles decreases whereas if surface waves are excited, quality factor of natural poles increases.
