Computation reduction of haar wavelet coefficients

The aim of this paper is to present a new technique that may be used to determine the wavelet detail coefficient in a simple and fast manner. This technique eliminates the need for applying two filters by estimating the detail coefficients from approximation coefficients. The technique is applied to the frame size of video traces with different group of pictures (GOP) and satisfactory results are obtained. The results show no variation in statistical parameters between original and recovered I, P and B frames of the video traces.
