Power parks for maximization of renewable energy consumption

The aim of the paper is maximization the consumption of energy generated by RES in distribution system. It is achieved by aggregation of loads and power generating units to common internal grid called power park. In order to maximize consumption of renewable energy, the RES sizing optimization model is used. In order to reflect the intermittency of renewables, they are modelled by generation profiles elaborated basing on historical generation data. Analysis is carried out for three different types of RES and loads. The method includes also technical constraints of energy sources. The optimization uses Mixed Integer-Linear Programming (MILp) and is solved in FICO

XPRESS optimization software. The method proposed allows for higher generation from RES without necessity of electricity infrastructure development. The method presented in paper is dedicated for DSO as a tool for grid development planning and Regulators.
