Hybrid-heating-systems in lokal virtual power plants

In order to let small energy generators participate at energy market, a Local Virtual Power Plants (LVPP) can be implemented. The LVPP connects the Micro-Combined-Heat-and-Power-Plants (μCHP) from detached homes and apartment buildings to one logical unit. This unit provides a reliable power supply by gathering informations of the condition in the buildings, the restrictions of the power grid and the specifications from control center. In this paper, the LVPP is extended to a Hybrid-Heating-System, which integrates the μCHP, the power-to-heat units (P2H) and the heat storage system. The relationship between thermal and electrical power will be described by energy cloud based on a reference system. The simulation results show that the performed goals are achieved. Heat demands in buildings are covered and different trading options can be successfully carried out.
