New conception of an electromagnetic drive for a vibration source in hole

A new conception has been developed to improve efficiency of the non-explosive vibroseis method effectiveness. This conception means using a long-stroke impact electromagnetic drive in deep holes. The considered approach provides the capability of noticeable increase of electric drive useful mechanical work when its external diameter is limited. The results of the finite element simulation in the Finite Element Method Magnetitics solver are presented. Electric drive force and power characteristics have been obtained. The considered electric drive is shown to be perspective for deep holes with casing internal diameter limited by 120 mm.
