Photonic sampling and time stretching for analog-to-digital conversion

A new sampling and time stretching technique is presented. The technique uses non-dispersive delays for generating sampling pulses and stretching the sampled waveform in time. A 100 Gsample/s experimental demonstration of this concept is presented.
