A compact fourth-order six-step LOD-FDTD method

This paper proposes a compact fourth-order six-step locally one-dimensional finite-difference time-domain (CFO-LOD6-FDTD) method. Stability analysis shows that the proposed method is unconditionally stable. The proposed method uses compact fourth-order finite-difference approximation for the space derivatives. For every time-step and mesh-size, it gives less numerical dispersion than the six-step LOD-FDTD (LOD6-FDTD) method.
