Analysis of packet loss on scheduling over wireless real-time control system

Nowadays, a wireless networked control system has been attracted many studies in an industrial area. Besides its benefit, it also brings out several problems such as network-induced delays or packet loss, etc. In this paper, we examine the impact of packet loss on two well-known scheduling algorithms Rate Monotonic and Earliest Deadline First in the wireless networked control system. The simulation studies show that EDF scheduling algorithm based wireless networked control system is better efficiency than those based on RM method.
