Numerical analysis of memristor-based circuits with semi-implicit methods

This paper discusses the problems and techniques of numerical integration methods applied to the computer simulation of memristor-based chaotic circuits. The core of the suggested approach is to use semi-implicit methods whose characteristics are advantageous in construction of high order extrapolation schemes. Algorithms of several proposed methods and experimental results are presented for a simple three-element memristor circuit. We also provide an evaluation of computational efficiency of the semi-implicit methods compared with classical methods as well as one- and two-parametric bifurcation diagrams for the investigated circuit.
