An analysis of multimedia traffic in the MPLS network in ns2 simulator

The study presents the results of self-similar traffic effect on the performance quality indicators in the MPLS network using ns2 simulator. Multimedia 4G network traffic and IPTV-traffic were used as the test traffics. The statistical structure of the multimedia traffic was studied. There were determined probability laws of intervals of admission packages for service and probability time distribution for maintenance packages in the system to handle multimedia traffic 4G networks and IPTV-traffic at the access layer.
