Methods to identify degree of deception & represent non-deceptive information in concurrent engineering

This paper is a continuation of a previous work regarding deception detection in concurrent engineering. In earlier work, we studied the deception detection techniques, analyzed the deceptive information in concurrent engineering and identified the concepts to represent the deception. Earlier work revealed that `Sharing of Reliable and complete information' plays a significant role in implementing concurrent engineering. It is essential to have a framework and methods which enable deception detection in product development that provides an indication on the reliability of the information. This paper is concerned with identifying the degree of deception and a model to represent non-deceptive information. The model has been tested with the case study using the information pertaining to Process Data Model and Product Data Model of the Design of Stapler and found successful.
