Unity power factor standalone wind battery charger

In this work, a new battery charger using ultra sparse matrix rectifier for the variable speed wind power system is proposed. The proposed algorithm tracks this electrical loading state for all-out power for a given wind situation and improve the input power factor and charging efficiency. The most important advantages of the proposed MPPT battery charger are the unity input power factor and circuit simplicity. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed MPPT wind battery charger system.
