The method of adequacy estimation developed for the electric power system

To ensure adequacy should take into account the demands set by electric power consumers or by the government in the interests of creating conditions for socio-economic development of separate regions and the country as a whole. Formation of the reliability of the energy system is carried out at forward planning stage. At this stage, decisions are made on the required amount of power reserves and the development of a backbone network, which is intended to provide opportunities for inter-reservation. To solve this problem is proposed the electric power system model consisting of nodes and connections between them. The node is a subsystem, which may have their own requirements for the adequacy index that are different from the system. This modeling involves the representation of each node is independent in terms of technical requirements which apply to power reserve and intersystem relations. The model reflects the diversity of the organization for economic relations between the subjects of the electric power system, in terms of ensuring adequacy. In this model proposed method for solving the problem of emergency reserve calculating, which is located at the nodes of the system, and expansion of bandwidth links. The method takes into account various technical and economic requirements to “node” and “system” adequacy levels, the existing network and other restrictions, the ratio of power reserve cost at nodes and network construction cost.
