Voltage stability analysis for load center with distributed generation

Along With the construction of urbanization, the electricity loads of large cities and load centers are increasing day by day. However, due to the land resources and environment and other factors, the development of conventional power supply is limited. Distributed generation is one of the effective ways to alleviate the surge of power load in the load center area, in which the grid connected capacity of wind power distributed generation is the most. Therefore, this paper analyzes both static and dynamic voltage stability of load center power system with doubly fed induction generator(DFIG). In order to determine the weak region of the system, the voltage stability index based on power flow solution is proposed to quantitatively analyze the static voltage stability of the load center. Secondly, the power system simulation software PSASP is used to simulate the transient voltage stability of the actual Weihai city power system. The effects of various factors on the transient voltage stability of load center system are simulated and analyzed. The simulation results show that the reasonable access to DFIG can effectively improve the voltage stability of the load center system. Therefore, this paper has a certain practical significance for the construction of wind power distribution in the load center area.
