The design of a wideband dual-polarized planar antenna

A wideband dual-polarization antenna applying multimode with high isolation is proposed here. The proposed antenna inculdes four square patches and a metal loop on the substrate. Excited as the conventional orthogonally cross dipoles by coaxial probe, high isolation and favorable impedance match can be realized. The presented antenna accomplishing a −15dB return loss bandwidth of about 52.8% for port 1 and port 2 has a compact structure which contributes to a simple reflector.
