Improvement in the exciton and EHP generation rate of P3HT:PC60BM based BHJ OSCs with the incorporation of SWCNTs

BM based BHJ OSC is presented using the Optical transfer matrix theory and Onsager-Braun formulism. The results from our optical simulation show that the presence of SWCNTs in the active layer composite of P3HT:PC
₆₀
BM based BHJ OSC improves the exciton generation rate by broadening the absorption spectra towards the NIR region. The exciton generation rate and intensity of absorption was seen to improve as the added content of SWCNT increased. Furthermore the active layer thickness dependent exciton dissociation probability and EHP generation rate was found to be optimal when the added content of SWCNT was at 1%.
