Planar microwave metamaterials: Design and prospective application

Results of research of metamaterials based on planar structures with possibility of electronic control of their effective constitutive parameters are presented. Numerical and experimental demonstration of the Tamm State peak formation for the planar photonic crystal is presented. The spatial distribution of the electric and magnetic components of EHF field in the mue-near-zero planar hyperbolic metamaterial is detected and analyzed.
