Resonant structures for handset antenna design

Basic resonant structures including stubs, slots, loops and combination of these basic resonant structures have been reviewed. A very compact resonant structure has been proposed and examined for mobile antenna designs to demonstrate the effectiveness of improving mobile handset antennas' isolation, radiation efficiency and pattern diversity in a two-antenna environment. Both simulated and measured results are presented and they are in good agreement.
