Comparison of novel identification method of suspension force parameters and the conventional identification method in bearingless motors

At load operation, suspension control of bearingless motors are became unstable by interference of the motor flux. Therefore, it is necessary to decoupling compensation for stable magnetic levitation. Conventionally, perform the parameter identification test of suspension force by attaching a special jig to bearingless motors. However, conventional method restricted in the shape of the rotor. The novel identification method without using jig is proposed. In this paper, we demonstrate the utility of the novel method by comparison with the conventional method.
