Demonstration of full system reaches of 100G SR4, 40G sWDM, and 100G CWDM4 transmissions over universal fiber

A universal fiber was fabricated to have reduced coupling loss with conventional multimode fiber. We demonstrated single mode and VCSEL-based multimode transmissions including 100G SR4, 40G sWDM, and 100G CWDM4 at full system reaches for the respective transmission technology for the first time.
