Development of rotor position sensor for permanent magnet motor

Development of information transducer feature datum is one of the most important scientific and technical problems. Both the search for novel technologies and the improvement of common devices are still relevant. The specified trends are also reasonable for measuring sensors of permanent magnet motors. The aim of this research is to develop and examine the rotor position sensor for a permanent magnet motor based on an induction transducer of an electric reduction electric machine type. Development of a mathematical model of a measuring transducer as well as calculation and making the model of the rotor position sensor, and output signal quality analysis are the essential problems of the research. Methods of mathematical modeling, air-gap magnetic field analysis, equivalent circuit methods are applied as the research techniques. The research findings show that the advanced high accuracy transducers are electric reduction angular and linear movement transducers. The requirements for these transducers are defined, high accuracy conversion being essential. The problems concerning the development of these transducers are considered. The mathematical model of rotor position sensor for a permanent magnet motor is examined. The modeling results to evaluate weight-size parameters are presented. Experimental studies of the rotor position sensor indicating the accuracy of calculations and problem statements are considered.
