Experimental research of the thermal modes of the foil gas-dynamic bearings of the high-speed electrical turbo machines

There are experimental research results of the thermal modes of the foil bearings intended for creation the high-speed electrical turbo machines 0,25 - 300 kW of power with the rotational speed of a rotor 600 - 40 000 rpm in the article. The research were made using the thrust bearing with the external diameter of carrying foils 80 mm in the range a rotor rotational speeds of 24-96 thousand rpm during different axial loading. There are some recommendations for forming high-speed turbo machine bearing cooling system.
