Dissipative soliton in optical fiber with multiphoton absorption and random dispersion

The effect of random dispersion, multiphoton absorption on the pulse propagating through a fiber having cubic-quintic nonlinearity has been studied. The detrimental effects of two photon absorption and three photon absorption on the pulse have been discussed. The presence of quintic nonlinearity causes the pulse to oscillate. The random dispersion in the system contributes to the random oscillations in the pulse parameters. Inspite of the dissipative nature of the system due to multi photon absorption and random dispersion, solitons can still be generated by the injection of proper gain.
